After my water pump replacement the coolant level went down a little as expected and then stabilized. Now the coolant light comes on when I hit the brakes or stop on a hill. So that tells me that there's room in the resivor for some water wetter.

If I remember correctly some people said that they found Red Line's water wetter at an Auto Zone. I went to one a few days ago and didn't find any so I asked a person behind the counter and they didn't know what I was talking about. In fact he laughed at me and said , "how can you make water wetter?" I just I explained that it is real, how it works and why it is benificial.

There's a speed shop not far away that I know carries Red Line stuff so I might have to take a trip there.

Hey!! I can finally help YOU for once, J!!

Seriously, both Performance Centers of America in Enfield and any Pep Boys (I know for a fact that the one in Springfield carries it) has it as well. I believe it was 5.95 for Pep boys.....

you mix it in with your coolant.
it's supposed to help the car run cooler.
I believe most of us learned about it right around April/May last year and put it in our cars.
It's a clear pinkish color.

Who was it, Elky, that said he thought perhaps the car ran hotter after putting it in? or was that after removing the hood liner? heh
Most people notice a change in their temp gauges after putting the watter wetter in.

Water wetter has been used for years by people in the racing community.
it dramaitically increases the heat tranfser ability of water/coolant.

we used it alot in my friends enduro car because you cant run coolant, only water. and we all know that 100% water doesnt work as good as coolant/water mix.

Kim, i noticed an increase in engine temp when i removed the hood liner.
but after i threw some water wetter inthere it dropped a butt-load!

I should rephrase:

Most of us found out where we could buy it last year around this time.
Lane sold it at SZ02.
Mike ordered his through some speed shop in MA I believe.

i swear by redline products. I love all of their products especially water wetter.

AutoZone doesn't carry it around my area. Pep Boys does carry Redline products though.
Try a local pep boys.
