Not supporting the war in Iraq doesn't mean that I don't support the US's decision to remove Saddam and to disarm Iraq.
I strongly believe war is only a short term solution, Saddam will be removed and a million other Saddams will be reborn. Too many innocent people will be killed and lots of survivors wanting to seek revenge. I donâ??t understand why kill the innocent and turn the survivors against us, when Saddam can be assassinated. Or in other words save millions of lives and get the Iraqis support rather than turning them into enemies.
and if many Canadians don't support the war don't be ashamed, just try to understand why so many of us feel that way and be proud that you live in a country that lets everyone express their opinion. I'd hate to ask, but how could an ashamed Canadian be also a proud Canadian. I am a proud Canadian and will always be proud about who I am, even when I disagree with decisions made by my government. I'm sorry to hear you say that you are ashamed; I hope I can help you change your mind and convince you that you live in one of the greatest countries on this planet.
