Does anyone know if the SHO Shop pulleys set for the SVT will fit a 2000 Cougar with a 2.5? Searched for Sho Pulleys but not much luck. Called the SHO Shop but haven't heard. Thanks in advance.

Yes, but do NOT use their UN-DAMPENED crank pulley anyway!

Use their P/S pulley and a DMD.

SHO Shop claims their crank pulley retains the damper. Do they sell just the PS pulley?

Thanks Demon. I realize that the DMD is much better to use. I have also heard that the SHO Shop's set retains the factory dampener. Regardless, I was just wondering if this set was compatible with a Cougar.

1. No it can have the stock damper "piggybacked" to it thus changing the effectiveness of the damper. Also adding over 3lb's to it (the weight of the SHOShop pulley) Lose, lose situation!

2. Yes. After some prodding and poking they finally caved in and now offer it seperately.

Good info. What do they charge for the PS pulley alone (and do they have a seperate part number for it)? What belt do you use for it? Thanks.

IIRC the belt size is 1/2" longer than stock. (5060720)

You can always buy the 720 belt as insurance, but try the stock one first too.

For belts I'd recommend a Goodyear Gatorback or Dayco Poly/Top Cog.
