Im my previous post I meant to ask if you had the cryo treating done to your Cunningham rods and why you suggest the pauter rods. Wouldnt these be strong enough with out treating?

I emailed both places to try and find out about how much it will cost. But first i need to find an engine so I can have my friend get started on the rebuild.

cunningham charges $1080 for rods with a 10-12 week lead time. i got the pauter rods for $950 through nikolas at duratecperformance.com which included shipping with only a 6 week lead time. at the time, rick got a good deal on the cunningham rods.

Basically I was the first to get a set of custom rods made so Cunningham was the place that made them. Pauter now does it cheaper and quicker. As far as cryo goes, I had the entire rotating assembly cryo'd- crank, pistons, rods, pins, rings, flywheel, and pressure plate. And for those lucky enough to remember my hub failures at SZ last year, I had some hubs treated as well. Do some searching for the S/C kit and you can find them around 3K here and there.

2003 Cobra's are selling there 42#'ers with low milage and upping to 50's when swapping blowers. Personally I think a 36# will do fine. After all the turbo kit comes with 24's and it obviously has been extensively tested by streetflight to fit the application. I cant see the need to make a jump from the 24's to 42's. (although vortech uses 38's in the returnless kit)

the 24 lb injectors are only good for about 300 fwhp if i believe. according to keith at street flight, at about 380 fwhp, the 39/42 lb (cant remember which one he quoted me) injectors are at 80% duty cycle. so yes, big hp applications do need to be upgraded.
