Well, I don't know if this was the reason, but, the low fuel light had been on for say... 30 miles or so? I am usually able to get 50 miles from the time the light comes on. Anyway, I was driving home last night, really tired, and... the last couple blocks, the car started sputtering (I guess thats the word to describe it)... similar to the feeling I got when i pulled the fuel pump fuse... when I changed the fuel filter. Anyway, this morning, I tried to start the car and the engine turned over but the darn thing wouldnt start, so I got into my other car and drove to the gas station for some gas. Well, I put 1 gallon into the tank but the darn thing still refuses to start... Anything I should check? Could it be another problem? I know the fuel pump is working because I can hear the whirl (about 2 seconds when i turn the key).... there's definately gas in the tank, and definatelyl gas on one end of the fuel filter (haven't checked the other end)... And, I recall the car starting much easier after the fuel pump fuse was replaced...
By the way, this is with a 99 v6 'tour.... so no timing belt.
