If it makes you happy, it doesn't matter what any of us think. Plus with the age and milage on your car could be a little looser. You might also want to check bushings and that all bolts are tight. Talk to your mechanic, Oh Wait, that's me. LOL!

I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I wouldn't go so far as to call them completely useless, they generally will make the car FEEL better at least and there's nothing wrong with that.

Hypothetical:
Given Pascal's entering conditions (i.e., everything else is tightened up) would it be more beneficial to brace the engine bay somewhere other than the strut towers? Say, a cross-brace about midway, or a couple of triangles from edge to cowl?
Function before fashion.

You don't like it? Is it giving you problems or something? Let me know...
Andy, I have been meaning to get the bushings taken care of...it's on my list, I just have been pokey.

I really don't think so.. the load bearing components are what you want to have under control.. those strut tower tops. They just happen to be so damn close to the firewall on the CDW27 that bracing them is all bu useless.
Jeb Hodge: No need to toss it. I'm sure it's more beneficial to your '95 than a '00. For sure there's no way it can hurt...
As usual, Andy is 100% right on this one. If it makes anyone happy, there's really nothing bad that can be said about front STB's. I could rage forever on the detriments of aftermarket springs on old OEM struts, but that front STB.. really.. there's nothing wrong with it.
I have a beef when I see a guy who's conscious about his money spend it there first. There's better places to put $$ into first.
Do the bushings. Do the rear sway bar. Do the struts.. and the springs too. Get it aligned. Do the rear STB. Do the motor mounts. Brake pads. Brake fluid. Brake lines.. on and on... Top it off with a front STB.
