Sounds like a problem I had with my '98.
Less than a year after I bought it, it started blowing fuses for the heater/AC blower.
I went nuts trying to find it (ask anyone who knows me) because it would sometimes last for weeks, sometimes not 10 minutes.
It turned out to be a wiring harness which ran across the back of the engine, between the rear head, and the firewall; passenger's side.

The harness was rubbing against a lifting 'eye', probably used in assembly. The edge of the eye was sharp, and the engine vibration had cut through the harness, and killed my blower when the enging rocked fore and aft, as it does in a FWD car.

There are so many wires in that harness it could have blown any number of fuses. Just the luck of the draw.

Push the harness out of the way, and cover the 'eye' with something. I used a short piece of split heater hose.

Good luck.
