Everyone that I know of that installed one because the Ford one seemed "slow" ended up remoing them because the realized that they weren't slow. That is just how the engine is. All got identical readings fromt the factory and aftermarket tach. Get a shift light and set it at the optimal shift point for racing. Otherwise why do you really need the tach? Nice to have, but not worth being in your line of site.
