For some people it beats having to take there eyes off the road and look to see where they have to shift....but if you cant tell when you have to shift by the sound of the car...then maybe you should't be driving....Also the sotck tachs are just as acurate if not more accurate than the aftermarket ones....But i guess to each his own.
