Factory tachs are pretty slow and not in the feild of sight for racing. My car hits the 7500 rpm redline when my factory tach is only reading 6-6500 rpm in first and second gear. Of course I have a bit more power than most

I have thought of installing one, but I can deal with the factory one for the time being. If I ever get into seriously racing this car, I will probably get one. The occasional jaunt to the dragstrip that I do now, doesn't warrant it.
