I still hold out hope that this can be solved without bloodshed. If not then in light of the last few years American soil may not be as safe as most of us had once thought. Once someone showed the rest of the world that the US could be penetrated some very bad people started to think in a new light. With that in mind I fear retalition on US and its interest could be inevitable. I hope this thought is wrong. Either way I hope no one loses a life or a loved one from this.

I'm so sick of people bring up the Oil cliche (I know you were joking ninja). We import more oil from S. America, and with all the stuff going on down there if oil was our motivation, we could easily send our military down there to take oil.

This was discussed already in other threads and with links to the department of energy which showed that the majority of our oil DOES NOT come from the Middle East but from Canada and S. America.

you cant get the oil from us canadiens...... we only have 8 miles of paved road up here and it snows year round....not to mention the killer beavers that roam our streets at night .....
