ok, well alot of you still think Canada is pathetic, and stupid. Yes our prime minister is an idiot! as of today one of our politions stated over tv that we are not apart of this war, and we will not support it! its the way canada is, we beleive in more peace as you can say? I guess... thats why more then half of the european contries are in favour of Canada! even tough Korea, and parts of middle east dislike Canada, because supposbly we support USA... yes we give more then half of you're oils, etc.. but we do not need to be involved for something that didn't involve us, and my point is most americans judge canadians negativly, because of something we don't want to be a part of, this has always bothered me! my 0.2 cents.. I apoligize for my first response, became very aggrivated!

I never made any "generalization about how out of touch" you are. I simply asked if you had something more important to argue about that concerned you. Unrelated event? Hardly. But scripted by Iraq? Probably not. I agree that without 9/11 we would not be in this mess, but we did not choose the mess that we call 9/11.
Originally posted by BlacknBlue: As soon as someone from some country says anything anti-war, it's away with French fries, Canadian bacon, Smirnoff Vodka, BMWs, etc. Why does America refuse to simply listen to the arguments from other sides rather than respond so emotionally like pouring French wine in the streets? It is a very childish and emotional reponse, rather than a calculated and reasonable debate.
Because everyone has interests. Do you take the advice of the salesmen when you are deciding whether or not to purchase a car? No? Then why should America pay any heed to the French? They have their interests, we have ours.
I apologize if I seem "anti-Canadian" but I find your position worthless. You have no leg to stand on. Will this war cost you your hard-earned tax dollars? No. Will this war sacrifice your proud soldiers? No. Will the Iraqi people be better off without Saddam than with him? Yes. Ask any Iraqi living in exile.
The way I see it, this war costs Canadians nothing; not pride nor money nor life, hell, your country does not even have to take an official stand. You should simply be happy for the Iraqi people. I do not mean to make the US as a savior by any means, but there is absolutely NO doubt that life without Saddam means a better life for Iraqis. Be happy for them, or just continue to be deaf to the words of every Iraqi living in your country.

don't you think though that if someone did attack and threaten canada that the USA would be the first country in line to help? we always are. people (other governments) know this and use us for our help and then spit on us b/c we are "greedy scum that will do anything to win" we really didn't have to rebuild europe after WWII, and we didn't have to protect japan since after their surrender they couldn't have a military. i wonder if we didn't protect them if ours cars would be better? that's another topic for another day.

did you not catch the speech tongiht? Bush said that saddam was funding al-queda. i somehow think he knows a bit nore than you about the subject. or are you stating that al-queda wasn't responsible? IIRC, all of the hijackers were members. say what you want about bush, at least he knows what he's talking about

This is a stupid f'ing post that started a lot of pointless BS! Yes Bush is a terrible speaker, and I hate that along with many other Americans, Canadians, Germans, or whoever; but plain and simple Saddam needs to go. Read up before you post! And why the hell are we fighting as Canadians and Americans on the CEG. Gee, lets bring up language dispuits and afirmitive action....stick to the topic at hand...omfg
