eBay seller named knu-konceptz

eBay Auction for Kicker Solo X Sub

This is mainly directed towards Bill... Is this guy infringing on your busines' name? Also this auction is a rip off cuz it is using Kicker's copyrighted pictures, and it is advertising a woofer that is available to dealers only....

I do not think it is Bill. Here's why: Bill's site is www.knukonceptz.com, this guy's is www.knu-konceptz.com. Do a search for Knu-Konceptz's other auctions and you get 5 items, mostly cell phone accessories, and this sub. I didn't do a search for Bill's autcions, but it's safe to say there are a lot of them, and they are actually KnuKonceptz products. Bill needs to be contacted and alerted to this. As you pointed out, that is a dealer only sub, with copywritten pictures/descriptions. It isn't exactly illegal to sell that sub, unless Kicker gets pissed off and tries to do something about it. I would hate to see Bill's company get involved with that, since it has nothing to do with them at all.

He sells car audio products on his site, it really does seem like a play on Bill's company name. If you look at Bill's ebay feedback, has develloped alot of good reviews, this could net some customers looking for bill's site.

We were contacted by this individual looking to buy our cables and sell on his site. At this time we are still waiting for the trademark on KnuKonceptz.com to finalize. Appartently it takes longer then anticipated (filed back in 2001)

Once final our lawyer's will contact this individual that using our property would result in duties/royalties to be paid. However, domain names are not subject to certain trademark rules. He will however not be allowed to operate his business under this name.

I would still contact ebay and let them know that you think that people might be confused by the name that he has chosen that is so close to yours and that you both sell some of the same types of products. It is at least worth a shot.
