Thanks guys, I'll see if I can get some of those.

Your personal junk man will be checking his stock. If I have one/some, I could send it with the gauge set.

Awwwww, shux. BTW, you only need one stud-bolt and a nut, right? I'll check tonight (just called home to leave a message to remind myself when I get home), then whenever you get the gauge order in I'll ship everything out.

I must have a real oddball SVT, amongst having traction control, as when I replaced the TB bolts with anodized ones, I had 2 bolt/nuts and 2 bolts.

Now to decide what to do with traction control... I would love to keep it, but I don't see a way to make it work with the existing cable without some cable splicing/fabrication. Then it's the point of no return since the cable has been cut.

If I just use the SVT throttle cable that I have, I'm not looking forward to trying to pull the existing one out of the firewall.

Lance, I bought an extra upper throttle control cable, and then I spliced about 4 inches of covering off the new one, then attached it to the TCS and Throttle....and my Traction Control has worked great ever since.

It is a pain in the a$$ to cut...you'll need a very small, sharp pair of cutters, the steel braiding is about 3mm thick or so and very strong. Careful, when cut..they're very sharp too!!

If you don't feel confortable trying to cut the cable covering yourself....maybe you could take it to a bicycle shop....they cut those cables to length all the time for the brakes and shifters.

As for the throttle bracket, like the guys said, the lower right bolt should be the double ended bolt. Tight the TB first, then put the throttle bracket on and tighten it, it will be helpful if you put a washer between the bracket and the nut, as when you tighten the nut....the entire bracket begins to bend!!!

Come on Lance...we can be the only two 95 Contiques with Traction Control with SVT Intake goodies!!

So you cut 4 inches of sheathing off the existing one...what about the cable end? It's totally different than what is needed for the SVT TB (at least mine is different).

Yes, the SVT Throttle is different than our 95's....but what I did is take a pair of clippers and an razor, and remove about half of the plastic end where the ball would go into the socket.

You take the slack cable and wrap it around the throttle disc, then the remaining half plastic socket sticks out from the side, where the metal end piece that is on the real SVT throttle cable normally inserts.

Once this is done, the plastic piece sticks out only about 1/4-1/2 from the black throttle disc.

The only problem you may run into is a fear that slack will separate the cut in the sheathing that you've made. I solved this by adjusting the amount of slack, by adjusting it right on the the end of the throttle cable by moving the metal clip.

You can also adjust the other end, the lower throttle control cable, which goes to the TCS itself. This is located just behind the passenger side motor mount.

Oh...be careful not to damage the actual cable when cutting and when installing. I almost damaged it when I was installing it into the the TCS cylinder itself. It kind of got caught in the gears, but I was lucky, and didn't damage it at all.

Make sure to look at the TCS before you take it apart. You have to know how the very top piece, where the electrical connector attaches to, how it fits into the TCS cylider. If you have it connecter wrong, it won't work right...So make sure when you loosen those two torx bits, you make sure where the little metal bar was in relation to the gears below.

Cutting the cable took me three hours...because I measured incorrectly. It's better to make the cable shorter..than longer...because you can always take more off.....so I took the safe and cautious route....

Oh...also...a silly mistake I made...I put the original TPS sensor on the SVT TB.....big mistake. Oh...to make the TPS electrical connector fit upon the TPS sensor itself....you have to remove the little red piece on the connector. Use a pair of eyeglass/electronics screwdriver to pry out the red piece. Once removed, the TPS and connector should slide together snugly, but it won't click or lock into place. I don't have anything on mine that's holding it on, but a zip tie would do the trick....

I don't think I've forgotten anything.......

Good luck....let me know if I can be more descriptive..

Not for long only two! There will be a third...though I have a truly distressingly large pile of parts to assemble yet - and more on the way (MSDS headers and camber kits).
