WRXs are nice, quick little cars, but they are not perfect either, friend has one and has has assortment of odd problems, one was the tranny wouldnt go into 2 or 4th... and this was like a week after he bought it and hadnt beating on it yet, plus a few other nagging issues, squeaks rattles etc...

A guy i work with has a wrx.He has had a few problems with his also.A few CEL's,oil leek (twice) and the trans just got replaced.That's all i can think of right now.It is a quick little car though.

I wish I would have bought my WRX sooner.....about 2 years sooner if you knwo what I mean.....the WRX is first year is the states, it is not a first year run production car...it has beena round for a long time. We are just now getting teh cool cars, and if peopel keep waiting for teh next cool car it might not come over. Japan is using teh WRX and STI (next year) to gage people ...see if there is a market over here for this stuff..

For a moment scrolling thru' there I thought we were back on forum topic with impellers, but that might have just been a smoke screen thrown up by Contour owners who are latent WRX lovers.

I've gone off to the Suburu site to find out what a WRX is.

Im sorry guys but it seems all of you have forgoten the universal 3rd gear grinding tranny. Which also come in the focus cougar escort. I am on my 4th, yes forth tranny. Lets see what else, rear bumber sag, Ive had a horde of climate control problems, Ford service in general, and please dont get me started on that subject. BTW almost my entire family works for Ford. I am on the A plan. I get dicounts on everything, but this is probable the last Ford I will ever buy. Oh yeah, my sunroof motor doesnt work, my insulation on my main power wire and ground wires are flaking off. I used to warp rotors a lot but I think I solved that one(discount tire problems) Other than these grips the car is nice, I get a lot of complimints from stangers. And also not every car is the same, I think I just happened to have gotten the rotten apple of the bunch. The only thing that seems pretty consistant is the water pump and the trannys.
