It's been going on for a while now. MTX was standard and ATXs were options, except the 5.9L engine. It had ATX.




You do know what ATX stands for don't ya?? The TX part stands for transaxle which is font wheel drive. A transmission is rear wheel, I'd hate to drive a full size front wheel drive pickup! What'd be the point????

In other words MTX and ATX are not just standard abbreviations for any vehicular shifting apparatus.....
