i know i have seen some of you do this i just wanted to know what kind of paint you all used that will stick to that plastic during rain and heat. i also know some of you used colored stickers but finding an EXACT match to T-red is next to impossible. Thanks!

2 options:

1. Take it to a body shop and have it professionally done (be sure to ask about their warranty)

2. DIY - go to Auto Zone/Pep Boys/etc. and use their paint book to find your paint. Duplicolor is most common IIRC. I would think you would have to sand down the rear reflector really well, mask off, primer, paint, paint, paint.

I lightly scuffed the surface, and used primer, sanded, then color, then clear. Not hard at all. Its lasted almost a year now with no problems.
BTW, I used paint from paintscratch.com. Great stuff.

i covered mine with black graffic vinyl. it looks great. you will notice the color difference if you get close. probably as noticable as a diy paintjob. but in your case iwould get it painted professionally painted. imho t-red would be hard to match.

What do you mean "scuffed"? And did you use the spray paint or a spray gun? Yours looks very nice i want to do the rear reflector and the front grille. i may do my side skirts as well if the other two come out nice. And did you polish yours or just apply the clearcoat?

I mean get the surface a little rough, use some fine sandpaper for this. It helps the paint stick better. If you dont sand the reflector a little, the paint wont last and it will peel off easy. I used a spray can. I had access to a gun, but I was too impatient to go that route.
I didnt polish it, I just sprayed a couple coats of clear, and put it back on the car.
The reflector and grille will be ok doing it with a spray can, but IMO, I would use a gun for larger pieces like the side skirts.
