ok guys here is the story:
I went out of town last week and let my girlfriend drive my SVT the 4 days I was gone. Anyways, the day before I left my good ol' escort wouldn't start, thought it was the battery, asked my girlfriend to go to wal-mart and pick one up while I was out of town and I'd put it in when I get back. Ok, she goes and gets that battery the first day I was gone, and leaves it in the backseat behind the drivers side sitting there for four days. When I got back in town, she told me it was in the backseat, didn't think anything about it then, but when I picked the battery up all of the leather under the battery came up with it
Most of the day it would sit out in the sun and get really hot. Battery+sun+on leather=BAD!!!
Anyways, I guess my question is how much should I expect to pay to repair this.
And...one of my friends said if it was battery acid that was leaking, it will eat away at the seat. So even if I replace the leather, it will still "eat" at the foam underneath. Is this true??? I wasn't sure
