Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but what I understand of them is that the ion crystal is more of a yellowish light, an actual fog light. The super white driving are a... super white light used for driving, kinda like a second set of headlights.
Correct the ION's are very similar to the IS300 fogs, they have a widespread YELLOW light (NOT FOR DISTANCE) and the superwhites are strictly for distance but IMO they light up the side of the road just fine for me. BTW they are WHITE LIGHTS.
