Hey.
I Have a '98 Duratech, my passenger back spring broke on me. I discovered it while getting an oil change. Since then it atarted to bounce and make a lot of rattle. I'm thinking of getting Eibachs all around. 2Questions I need answered, if anybody is willing to help.

Q1. Do I have to get lowering shocks, or can I stay with my original shocks?

Q2. Does anyone know where I can go around the GTA, prefferably east end, to order thses parts and of course I'm looking for a bargain, Is $300.00 Enough. What do you guys think.
Any help is welcome.
Thanks
Aron

1. The general consensus is you should replace the shocks at the same time you change to lowering springs. Otherwise, you'll wear out the the shocks quickly.

2. ... not sure where in the east-end you can buy springs and shocks, but don't count on spending that little if you include the shocks. I've got practically new Roush springs and KYB shocks you can PM about if interested.

When you're considering installation I know a place in the West end that has experience installing these on our cars (did mine twice) that charges around $350. In the end, expect to pay $800-$900 for a proper job, if not more.

I'm looking into KYB's myself anyone else out there happy with them because they seem to be a little less expensive than most options.

Have you looked into the ST200 struts that is offered by Chris at CTA Motorsports? They are pretty cheap ($380 cdn/set) and higher quality that the KYB's. I've got the Eibach's and ST200 struts and the ride is awesome.

Hey Lou. Do you have the BAT kit on your car now? If so what are your thoughts.

BAT Kit is supposed to be pretty good. SVTSEAN has it on his car. When I do mine that is what I will get.

If you can find a shop to do it, the rear spring for a 98 V6 incl SVT is `$70 plus tax at your friendly ford dealer. Either that, or hit the classifieds, there are spring sets there, and some SVT spring and struts sets That would probably be easier than doing other struts and springs, just bolt those bad boys up and drive
