It's called simple laws of physics.
200HP accelerating 3200+ lbs and taking into account drivetrain loss (165-168FWHP) will run around 89-91 mph terminal speed depending on various track conditions. (weather, elevation, "slope", etc) That's also provided the driver hits all the shifts too but that would be considered a given!
Running 96mph in a "bone stock" SVT would take around 250 "crank" HP (~200FWHP) Give or take a few based on conditions. (see where bone stock and 250HP argue with one another)
Physics does not lie which only leaves one other option. Hence why we call out anyone who argues physics without concrete proof. (I.E. The Prove it or Lose it school of thinking)
So there is a very logical reason as to why it happens ALL the time. You should think about using some and "growing up" yourself or at least "wising up" as no one should ever have to fully "grow up".
I suppose I could put it in more base terms for those folks playing on that level. (No finger pointing just a free shot! )
