Located 3/4 of a mile north of the town of St. Avold (Moselle), France on Highway N-33.

This memorial is one of nine in France. 10,489 Americans are buried here. Each of them lost their lives while fighting to liberate France in WWII.

Maybe that's why they (and most of the rest of the world) want to avoid war and you should too!

You Americans have hate to spare...

I would expect that from a Canadian. I'd like to hear your opinion if you lived in a country that is ruled by an insane dictator. A guy that murders anyone who opposes him in the political arena. You need to go live with the Beastie Boys in their unrealistic world of friendship with everyone.

Funny you mention that, I've yet to hear a cross word from any citizen living in Iraq about Saddam.

Oh yeah, they can't!!!

How can ANYONE morally and coherently defend that situation?

i can only jest at the recent backlash against the peace mongering organizations by ex-patriated iraqui's who these organizations refuse to listen to... because u cant really argue with a mother whose entire family was bumped off by saddam then say 'no we cant attack them'

if you think those grave stones piss you off check this out.

Wether or not Saddam is or isn't the evil man we've all been told I will not judge. But, we have to remember that each and every little piece of information that causes us to hold these passioinate opinions (pro or anti-war) is stuff we have heard on the news, mostly from the administration. I mention this because when opinions differ so greatly, it's important to look at what the sources of evidence are.

I'm not saying war is necessarily right or wrong, I merely point out that you have very passionate opinions (ie: "hate the French") and that they are based on information you have. But how good is that information really?

"I would expect that from a Canadian" - A perfect example of my point that you have hate to spare. Just incredible! You would never talk to me this way if we were face to face, just like you would never tell a French stranger that you "hate" them if we were all engaged in an intelligent discussion.

Grow up Todd!!

What the hell does being Canadian have to do with anything? It's HIS opinion, not all 30 Canadians share that opinion!

Maybe hate was too strong a word but they pretty much go against everything we stand for no matter what the situation. Now and in the past. All that we have done for them! I'm not a hater. I just call it as I see it.

Guess I should have worded that better. Someone that isn't a US Citizen. I love Canadians. They have great beer. It's early and I'm in a bad mood.

*snort* You have no idea how much the Washington Post's reporters hate hearing that they're just repeating what "the administration" is telling them. I may not agree with the Post a lot, but I'd never accuse them of being shills for Bush.

And your whole "I won't judge" attitude is the very attitude that has given Hussein the impression that he can continue playing games with the international community. He doesn't think that the UN has the balls to take decisive action. He only complies with inspections when the proverbial gun is to his head, and then as soon as the pressure is relaxed, he gets back to business. This isn't spoon-fed Bush-approved propaganda...it's historical fact based on 12 years of attempted enforcement of UN resolutions.
