hector removed ALOT MORE than that, and yes for every 100 lbs it's .1 sec. but what does that really mean????ot much... I run with what I got except I remove my subs from the car I keep the amp rack in and everything else.

drove MTX all ma life, and there's no doubt it's faster, there's no lag and no dead moment when the ATX "thinks" what to do... it all dependz on where u r driving the most - if it's mainly a slow moving city traffic, your hand will feel numb pretty soon with a stick

My ATX doesn't have to think...when the chip is in.

true dat, but still - when u compare the same models, even the cars originally made as sports ones (such as M3), the ATX is always losing to the manual...

That's the #1 reason I want a chip. I'm just tired of stepping on the gas and waiting a second or more for the car to decide to go somewhere.

But I have to straighten out other issues first.

the only reason atx's are slower is because they can't dump the clutch. if you get a atx with a stall converter it'll wipe ya every time. because the converter actualy boosts the torq higher. But the converter robs torq at high speeds(saw that on Horse Power t.v.).

btw I have a mtx and love it

UMMMM NO
and if you dump the clutch on the MTX you can kiss your MTX goodbye the diff is not the strongest in our trans.

Hince the reason you should replace your weak differential with a Quiafe or Torsen LSD!

Daniel, as for the converter topic that you mentioned above... A higher stall converter will not do a CD4E really any good, for the money anyway, all by itself. Our stock TC already stalls very close to 3000, averages about +/- 200 from 2600 RPM.

That's when the computer is supposed to activate the torque converter lock.

I understand that aftermarket chips make the tranny use the TC lock more aggressively, so there's less slush lossage.
