properly maintained ATX will last, though the CD4Es aren't great, mine has 90k miles on it and some have gone plenty longer. though some do go out quick. just get a cooler and use mobil1, and hope for the best.

I've had my car for almost 5 years now. She turns 8 this year and not ONE problem with my ATX tranny.  I have always driven my car pretty hard, just had to cool it recently, though.

dam you guys talking about replacing trannys at low milage, makes me glad mines has lasted with 137k on the clock...i need to go knock on some wood now...
