Find me something that is made out in 100% pure aluminum... Ok, series 1000 aluminum (1060,1100,1350) is nearly 100% pure, the purest commonly used aluminum form is 1060 and is 99.6% pure. So, practically, aluminum is always an alloy. You rods could be made with the same type of aluminum alloy used in soft drink cans, wow, but hey, if its in "ALLOY", it's probably really strong !
