Maybe he turned everything into CF!!  Nah, I doubt a contour could wiegh that little unless you drop about 20K in her just for wieght reduction. And the tour wieghs more than 3K..

not a chance in hell your car weighs 1800 lbs stock from ford it's a 3000 lbs what did you do remove the CAST IRON BLOCK from the Zetec and made an aluminum one even then I'm guessing you couldn't get it that light. being the 2.5 duratec with an aluminum block is 80lbs heaver than the Zetec

all I have to say about his claims of HP and the 1800lb contour is: why wait to show us the ONLY turboed Zetec contour? there are SOOO many people on here that are more than willing to take pics of unfinished work and post them to show what they got going on why not you? BTW you got a time slip or a video of your run or runs at the track? what RPM do you launch at too?

i took out all the interior and replaced only what was NEEDED with lighter weight materials. the block is aluminun the intake is a titanium alloy. i have no backseat. all my glass is gone and been replaced with "percy's speedglass". like plexiglass but lighter from summit racing. I took out the airbags. i am getting a fiberglass dashboard and center console custom made by a family friend. my carpet is gone, my center console has been ripped out.
my piston rods are an aluminum alloy. my valves and springs are titanium. my ball bearings are all lightweight. the only reason it weighs so little is because its all ripped apart. i am doing many things at once. when i get it finished it will be roughly 2300-2500lbs. i havent weighed it, 1800 is an estimate. it isnt even running right now cuz the radiator is gone. hell, the back doors hood and trunk arent even on it, waiting for carbon fiber replacements. im planning to spend about 20gs total on this car. then i am keeping it.

im moving to dallas texas in june so it wont bve a waste of money either. i am hoping to have it running 10's by the time i get done.

Aluminum alloy rod???? you clearly don't know anything about cars... that would be MUCH WEAKER than stock. ooh and BTW an aliminum block means you don't have a Zetec.

rods are aluminum ALLOY...and the block isnt stock, i never said it was a zetec. it used to be before i changed it. the engine is all custom. so screw all y'all SEE YA IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR!!!!!!!!!!!
