Hey there. I have a simple question. My friend had her non-factory head unit stolen from a mid 90's model saturn a few days ago. She is driving all the way up to detriot for spring break and has no radio. I was going to put my factory tape deck from my 96 contour in just so she would have something to listen to until she buys a new cd player. Can I do this? Do they make harnesses to go from a factory unit into other non contour cars? Or am I going to have to hard wire it for the time being.

I wish I could answer your question.

Perhaps most importantly, did you say that someone is going to Detroit for Spring Break?

Well, it can be done, but I hope shes worth the effort. you can buy the plugs that plug into the back of your ford deck from http://www.installer.com/wires/ Then you'll have to get a harness for the saturn connectors (if you dont want to wire it directly) and if she still has the factory saturn stereo connectors. BUT, then you run into the problem of the factory amp. She will barely be able to hear anything without some sort of amp. How you rig this up is up to you.
