My 95 LX Duratec has an oil leak which recently started. Its not too bad, but I was curious and took it to the Ford Dealer. They put the car up on the rack, and let me come in and look things over with them (TECH, SUPERVISOR, AND YOUR TRUELY). Oil leak is definitely from the oil pan gasket AND the "front cover" (timing chain cover). No charge for this by the way. There are a number of excellent posts on changing the oil pan gasket - do a search). I ordered a replacement gasket from
www.fordpartsonline.com for approx $23.00). I have used Amsoil 5-30 in my engine for the past 5 years. It was always very tight oil-leak wise until the past 4 months. I have to "suck it up" on the timing chain cover leak - even the dealer said it was a serious issue to replace.
