Well, I have fun synthetic oils in my engine since after the break-in period, and never had a problem until now by using the Mobil 1. I have a funny feeling there is an incompatibility between an additive in the Mobil 1 and some of the materials used in the gaskets on the Duratec, seeing as I'm not the only one seeing this.
Unfortunately, all the dealerships were closed today for easter, so I couldn't get my hands on an oil pan gasket.
Any idea what to expect, in terms of price?
