Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I have seen those pictures in that thread so many time I have them memorized! (Sort-of). In my case what I would love to see is pics of a "boxed" reinforced subframe - preferably off the car. This would answer questions like "where is the extra material (plates?) welded to the subframe?" and would show overall the changes that TH feels are necessary. This would be very helpful to guys that are inclined to "do it themselves". Without this I am uncertain exactly what changes to make and will likely way over-do the reinforcement (be ready for installation on a tank!)

JED,

Those pictures in the thread were of my car and unfortunately you can't see how they need to be boxed in.
I think I might have some pictures of the "boxing in mod" that Performance Ford is/was working on that might better illustrate what needs to be done. I'll see what I can find. Failing that, you can email them and ask them to send you the pics.

I agree with JED... I saw those, but am looking for pics of the "boxed in sub frame" & desc. of material used & how it was done...

I've searched and searched and searched and I know this is a major issue discussed for a year, but I don't want an Aussie bar I only want to know how to fix my stock 19mm SE sway bar. I can't find any pics or descriptions, either, other than for people using aftermarket oversize bars. If someone who knows something about STOCK swaybars tearing up the subframe, I would really appreciate your help!

Here's pictures of the Performance Ford buttress plates installed on a subframe.

welded bracket2
welded bracket3

Hopefully things will work for everyone's viewing pleasure.
