I had a question about the aftermarket clutches on the market. I was reading in someone elses post that the pressure plates in most cases are the stock oem pressure plate and nothing more. Is this the truth, and if so can oem pressure plates replace the ones being used in these 400 to 600 dollar setups? Futhermore, is there a more heavy duty pressure plate available? Thanx Everybody!!

Yes most aftermarket clutch sets come with the SVT pressure plate.

The SVT plate is an upgrade over stock.

SPEC clutches for one has a unique pressure plate (designed by them & used in their upgrade kits) that has improved spring pressures and different fingers then the SVT unit.

Generally speaking, you don't want to mix and match different pressure plates and different discs. They should be made for each other.
