just an idea but maybe you should just fork up the extra hundred and get the red CF. its going to cost more to get the hood painted. although it might be too bright of a red CF.

If there is going to be any venting it will most likely be to dissapate heat and not attract air (scoop).
I'm into functional moreso than looks.
