My A/C decided to quit one hot morning. I began recharging the system and the high pressure valve leaked all the coolant out. I was told if the a/c fan wasn`t working at the time it would have caused the h/pressure valve to blow. The compressor did operate while coolant was in the system. Any clues would be appreciated, its going to be mighty hot in ATL soon.

Don't know what year/powertrain you have. If it's a 95, like my 2, the hoses (made by BadYear) leak a little. I used the stopleak-conditioner for R134 and they have not leaked in over 2 years.
If the fan(s) are dead, or there is not enough air circulation, the compressor will cycle on/off real fast because of the high pressure in the system. There is a electrical pressure switch that turns the fans on high speed. I helped another CEGer with his wiring and switch problem and learned the system in the process. A week later, my radiator fans catch fire, didn't know it at first but I heard the compressor going on and off real fast and the Temp rising a little. By the time I pulled over smoke was pouring out. eek
