The other day i was transplanting Donnelly mirror into my SVT from my Mystique and i tapped one wire that was brown stripe on black thin wire(thinking it was the wire for the radio). After that the airbag light flashes 5 times then pause then 1....repeating constsntly. I checked fuses, all are fine. After reading CEG archives, i replaced the 4yr old original battery which was about time to replace in a hope of problem might be due to the weak battery.
It still flashes driving me nuttttts.....
anyone knows the code?

Airbag diagnostic monitor internal thermal fuse - Fuse blown due to intermittent short to ground. frown
Need to install a new one because it is not serviceable.

It sounds that i made a costly mistake.
Do you know the part number? is it going to be easy replacement?

I fixed the airbag code problem.
THANKS 2X95SEs !!

I heard diagnostic monitor location and precautions of replacing it from Jim Johnson, and found one at a local junkyard. After an hour of labor the light is gone. Sure it was the diagnostic monitor as 2X95SEs told me.

You guys saved me a bundle.
