Hmm...I'll look into that but I doubt its the exhaust ... I have an SHO Ypipe and its pretty new as well as the Catback is a borla....Unless its the precats?

I just can't figure out what it could be? Maybe a failing Injector?

Thanks

I don't know if this helps, but about a year and a half ago I put in new Autolite plugs with FMS wires.

The car would shudder under heavy acceleration. It even sounded "wrong".

I thought it was the plugs and pulled those and put OEM back in. Car still ran badly. I checked the FMS wires and one seemed slightly "loose". Like you, I couldn't get the plug the "snap" in like the rest of them.

I put the Autolites back in and tried the OEM wires and the car ran fine.

I ended up trashing those wires.

Have you tried swapping out all of the FMS wires with the OEM wires?

Hope this helps somewhat.

Haven't tried swapping out all of the wires but I think its really odd that you had the same problem....I will try that this weekend!

Anyways thanks for the PM and the post! I'll do that and hopefully it will make a difference!

Thanks again!

On a side note...my damn Aussie Bar Ripped the Bushing mounts completely out this weekend...just another thing to add to the list. Not to mention I was 4 hrs away from my tools!

WELL SON OF A MONKEY'S UNCLE!!!

YOUR THE MAN SVT ST PETE!!!

Took a few mins to swap back to the OEM Wires from my 9mm FMS wires and BOOYA...no more studder/jerking/bogging!!! Now she pulls like she used to!

After some thought I think it may be the combination of FMS 9mm plugs and the Autolite plugs. Is it logical to say that maybe they are incompatible in some way? Maybe they are being over sparked...not sure if thats possible but I find it odd that this began when I change plugs from the Bosche +4's to Autolite Dbl Plats....Maybe the plugs can't handle the extra voltage being delivered by the thicker wires???? Who knows either way I"m all fixed up now!

THANKS AGAIN!

The plugs don't have anything to do with it.

I have heard several folks complain about the FMS wires.

Seems that in some cases the inner plug end in the boot does not reach down far enough or has a tendency to shrink from use. (heat? current? etc?)

I love my Magnecor's...

i have had the 9mm's and autolites on my svt since this past summer..haven't had a single problem...they even smoothed out my idle and cleared up a slight stuttering problem i was having(guess one of my stock wires had a tear in it or something)...don't worry though,i haven't heard of many having problems wwith this combo...

DemonSVT...WHat your saying makes sense...maybe I'll try magnecors!

chrisilversvt...I've had the FMS plugs on for about a year and a half now and I just started to have this problem about 2 months ago when I changed to autolite plugs. I think what DemonSVT said makes alot of sense. Due to the extreme heat/Current..etc the wires just don't hold up as well as they should! I hope it doesn't happen to you but if it does then you'll know what it is!

Later!

Justin,
No problem - glad I could help out.

Actually, your scenario is exactly the same as what I went through:

Bosch +4 switch to Autolite and FMS wires caused the hesitation/bogging/jerking.

Back to OEM wires and no problems since.

I have a new set of FMS wires that will go on this weekend and hopefully (knock on wood) this set works fine.

This has me thinking of going to Magencores, too. Pricey though.
