Well, I posted a message last night about my window - and after a couple of responses and reviewing past forum posts it looks like I'll have to replace my regulator motor. The problem I'm having is getting the old one out because the window is stuck all the way down and won't budge so I can get to the bolts which hold the window (the orange thing, i think). So, is it possible to get that motor out with the window still in, or is there some kind of trick I'm missing on getting that window out?

Thanks,
Cory

Here is a suggestion that I think will work (I have never tried this myself and I am trying to write this from memory, so please take what I say with caution)...

There is a long metal piece that I would call an "elevator track" that goes from the bottom of the door frame to the top. There is what I would call a plastic orange (or gray) "elevator" that rides up and down the "elevator track". This "elevator" holds onto the bottom of the window. The "elevator" is attached to the motor (aka, window regulator) by a metal cable that raises and lowers the window.

If the motor is dead, then my idea is to cut the cable, and thus free the window from the motor.

If you can cut the cable, then you should be able to move the window up and out of the way. If you can get to the cable while the window is down, then you are in luck. Otherwise, if the window is blocking access to the cable, then I suggest taking out the two rubber moldings that run the length of the window at the bottom of the window and then clipping the cable there.
