I got my EBC rotors from Eric @ BAT. He is a great guy to deal with. I live 1/2 hour away... so that is always a plus!

They are called the "turbo groove" rotors. They are gold zincwashed (very nice finish to keep rust off of non-contact parts of the rotor), slotted and dimpled (not cross drilled - supposedly to help with structural integrity of the rotor).
The reason the other rotors are not reccomended, is that they are basically just 'stock' rotors, low quality, with some holes in them. They were broken in properly, and with just a few hard stops on them, had black heat spots all over the rotors. If anyone else notices, once this happens, you're basically S.O.L., they just keep getting worse. The pad tends to 'hydroplane' over the hot spots, which just makes the other spots even hotter. It was a terrible rotor. The new EBC rotors you can tell just from visual inspection is a much different rotor than stock, much beefier... and has withstood all of Tampa's high speed stop and go driving perfectly. Highly reccomended. Finally, no shaking of the steering wheel and unnecessary downshifting! Sweet!
