Running it with the BAT kit on 16x7s and rub.

IIRC, the difference between ride heights is around 1/4 inch...

CRAP!

I meant to say NO rub...

Bloody edit feature won't work after an hour.

Sorry for the initial misperception!

I am running 225/50/16's on my stock suspension without a problem. My new H&R's and Koni's will be going on on Friday and I can report back after that if you're interested.

I ran 225/50/16 on stock SVT suspension...Rubbed a little in the rear with passengers but not often. The tires looked huge and hade it look like a truck. The added sidewall flex and balooning look is not worth the extra 10mm extra crossection width IMO!

I ran them too and had no isseus with rubbing even with H&R's.

But do yourself a favour and get 225/45R16's instead, so you don't get the massive sidewall look, that FLuiDSVT is talking about.

I just got 225/50/16's today, and I can barely tell a difference from the 215/50/16's. Stock suspension here.

Me too. Got me a set of Firestone SZ EP's. They sure sound and feel better than the KDW's.

I got a full drive out price from Firestone store of $547. That was the same price as TireRack (not to include shipping or installation).

Firestone tried to give me a "complimentary alignment check". I turned them down. I'm old enough to know that Firestone or GoodYear stores don't give things away. They just get you in position for a good old fashioned screwing.

You should have seen the mountain of brake rotors they had behind the store.! The story is the same: Offer the customer the Brake Special and then whack them up for new rotors or drums. Or - Offer them a $49 Special Tune Up and then poke them in the rear for about $168.00 of other items that are needed.

So, anyone, did I get screwed on the Firestone Firehawk SZ EP's (225-50-16 Z rated tires? It was lots of money, but in today's rain they were great. They handle superb. And they are relatively quiet. I see why Corvette owners like them so much.
