Would buying a CTA or whatever's tube be any better? 1995 Mercury Mystique GS V6 MTX Pioneer 6x8s in front, Pioneer 10's in back 1200 watts powering it all KKM intake SVT Exhaust Swapped out resonator for Glasspack Mobil 1 Brand New!! But it retains much more heat than the stock accordian tube. I experienced this at the 02 American Iron Shootout with the BAT pipe which stayed really hot vs people who had the stock accordian tube which cooled much faster. Also the repetetive ridges are not good for airflow. I could not tell any power gains personally (big surprise ), but the throttle response did get a bit crisper. Yes it suffers from heat soak more than the rubber one does, but with some coating it's does alright. Getting rid of the stock boot alone is worth it IMO. 2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
