IMO...build your own Intake Kit. No kit currently out there can offer the best of all worlds...meaning best filter, maf adapter, best heat shield. Use these parts and you will spend less then any comprable(sp?) kit and have a much better setup!!!

90 mm (3 1/2") MAF Adapter
K&N RU-1785 filter (5" wide 8 1/2" long)
BAT or CTA intake pipe (you can skip this and use the stock accordian tube to save money)
Heat Shield
Cold air pipe (to provide cold air to the "filter area") and removal of stock fender boot.

Yes, a good idea.

If you want to mod the stock accordian you can do that too buy cutting out the actual accordian section and inserting a straight 3" tube in there, instead.

I would say go with AEM and then run a custom CAI from it
I did this this last weekend and it turned out great.

The AEM sucks. I have seen it and spec'd it. It uses a small ass 3" flange filter. The filter provided with the AEM kit doesn't look to be any bigger then the size of the stock cone filter in a stock SVT airbox!

Well basically you can run any intake you want to, your choiuce but you can convert any of them into a true CAI.

I have the BAT 90 mm (3 1/2") MAF Adapter and the K&N RU-1785 filter (5" wide 8 1/2" long).

If I had to do it over again, I would have gotten the RU-1785 and the bullet Pro-M 75mm MAF. No adaptor needed, save the $45, and spend it on the Pro-M, instead.
