You mean a different bodied 75mm Pro-M then the normal one they sell for our car right???
The regular replacement one is flanged on one end just like the stock one is.

I believe you can order it without a flange for direct filter mounting. The flanged style is for mounting to an airbox (like stock).

You can get the MAF from Pro-M without the flange. This allow you to clamp the K&N right to the MAF instead of four screws. I am looking at the plastic one without flange from Musclemotors for $199. Then I could sell the BAT MAF adaptor for $25+ shipping. Any takers on the MAF adaptor?

I do not ercommend the KKM or any other type of filter that has an inverse coned end.
Dyno proven high rpm HP loss.
Get a large mouth K&N.
Hoosier's idea of a non flanged Pro-M is not bad. It will free up another inch of length for the filter without any other changes.
I suspect the price is the same for the flanged or non-flanged too so then it would also save you buying a MAF adapter. (Though you would have to buy a $200 Pro-M {which is worth it IMO} and have 19lb injectors)

You are right, demon.....but you can do what I did and just plug up the end....I've been trying to locate a Holley Blue filter to put in the KKM's place but have been unsuccessful. I just figured that the KKM is the good starting point, considering there are many for sale in the classifieds.

Don't you think there is a reason they are in the classifieds? I among others dynoed with a rich condition above 6k rpms. Can you say KKM implosion? Ever see a KKM suck in, collapsing?
Lets see a KKM new is $96.95. K&N filter $37.39 and BAT maf adaptor $39 = $76.39 Save $20 and do the right thing.

Yeah I'm looking to get the best intake kit I can because the lil custom intake I made isn't cutting it I don't think. What kit gives the biggest power gains, and is also the best for the car, etc.

Pro-M 75mm MAF in the group buy,the non-flanged is available for $10 less, so $137 + shipping, that about a $90 savings.
