Saw this Panasonic in the Crutchfield catalog, does anyone have any experience with Panasonic, I'd like to here what you think about them, also does the blue/ red illumination look wierd in our cars?

I don't think it's a bad HU, but it would look like poop in the dash with red/blue display.

If you're after something with mp3 capability that looks good in the dash, check out JVC, Alpine, or Pioneer.

Don't Forget Kenwood. . My display matches my dash illumination, but thats only sometimes, and blue and red isn't really that bad, I've had it that color too...

i have panasonic HU but different model its about 2years old and when play CD it sound great but not so great for FM reception

I love my panasonic 302, has yet to give me troubles, other that has problems reading CD-R some times but other than that no probs

Actually, my wife and I installed that exact deck yesterday. So far, we like it. Looks nice even with the blue/red (red only shows in night/shadow). Only complaint is that it's kind of bright so the whole car glows at night and there's no hookup to dimmer control (that I saw).

-remember; this is after one day

For MP3s & WMAs, it takes a little longer to read depending on how many folders you have on the disc; make sure you rip the tracks as close to the sample rates they reccomend as possible.

Check in the menu, i know on all there previous decks u can dim it from somewhere in the decks menu, i'm quite sure this one would be the same.
