I have a 98.5 E1 and the airbag light frequently flashes 5, pause, 5, etc. I took it to the dealer but they said that they couldn't read the code to diagnose it unless it was blinking when they went to check it (meaning that the code isn't stored in memmory). Is this correct? And does anyone know what 5, pause, 5 means?
