Yea, I got them today, the roads were wet, these tires have awesome wet traction, i'm very pleased, But i won't drive it again till tuesday cause i'm going to FL. And i'm leaving the svt at the dealership the whole time so they can fix some things. 5 days should be enuff time for those dingleberries to figure it out. LOL

Got me a set of Firestone SZ EP's. They sure sound and feel better than the KDW's.
I got a full drive out price from Firestone store of $547. That was the same price as TireRack (not to include shipping or installation).
Firestone tried to give me a "complimentary alignment check". I turned them down. I'm old enough to know that Firestone or GoodYear stores don't give things away. They just get you in position for a good old fashioned screwing.
You should have seen the mountain of brake rotors they had behind the store.! The story is the same: Offer the customer the Brake Special and then whack them up for new rotors or drums. Or - Offer them a $49 Special Tune Up and then poke them in the rear for about $168.00 of other items that are needed.
So, anyone, did I get screwed on the Firestone Firehawk SZ EP's (225-50-16 Z rated tires? It was lots of money, but in today's rain they were great. They handle superb. And they are relatively quiet. I see why Corvette owners like them so much.
I'm convinced these are as good as the reviews in TireRack say. We'll see how they act this summer...

the t1s isn't allseason (cant wait til they here). if i were to get an allseason it would be toyo fz4(i believe thats the one). the guy at spyengineering (where i ordered my wheels/tires from) has them on his a4 and said they have like half the tread left after like 20000miles (maybe even 30000miles) and he doesn't take care of them at all, if that means anything to u. just passing on what he told me.

I bought a set of toyo proxes FZ4's and compared to the factory G-Force tire what a difference in ride, performance, handling and even in the occassional snowfall no problem.
