I don't know about the clunking, but the creaking noise can come from the sway bar bushings. If this is the problem, you can take them out, grease the daylights out of them, and put them back in. Clunking doesn't sound like a sway bar bushing problem though, unless the bushing is completely deteriorated, or broken apart. What about your end links?
