Well there is something wrong with the tour but I don't really know what it is and maybe the experts out there can help. I have noticed that over the past month or so my car has been spinning to much in 1st gear. When I went to the track I was running 16.0s then I got in my friends 00' SVT and I felt a major difference in his car where I ran low 15s. I have a 98 SVT that as far as I know nothing has been changed since the factory except for my current mods. It not the tires b/c I just bought some Kumos about a month ago. I think it maybe the springs b/c they are very bouncy right now. I still haven't put my BAT Handling Kit and am hoping that will fix the problem. Any thoughts anybody on this issue.

Springs and a handling kit aren't going to help you lower your time much on a straight course. If you have wheel spin, your tires are slipping. If your buddy's car gets better bite, maybe his tires are better, or he's running a better tire pressure, or maybe he has a LSD. Motor mounts and such can help with wheel hop, but if your tires are gripping and your not going, your clutch may be slipping.

KUMO's suck!

Several people on here have complained about their lack of traction.

So take that and add it on top of a FWD chassis setup for firm, crisp handling and there's your answer...

The easiest way to launch is a quick slip from ~3000 rpm.

Ahem, thats KUMHO...

And the suckiness depends on the model. These guys make some nice autocross tires do they not? wink

BTW, mine do suck. But they should last 4 summers, even with moderate abuse laugh And they are way better than the stock firerocks...
