Nope. The part that disintegrates is the impeller inside the water pump itself; most of the time it works just fine until it flies apart. Bought intake manifold gaskets today also...$74 for all four. Thermostat from Ford was $20, so I passed hoping to find one a little cheaper elsewhere. Although the $5 gasket was bought... Like you've all ready read...Why would you want to even think about taking the chance of overheating your engine by NOT changing that WP. Jim 98 EO CSVT #761
