Original Water Pump went a few weeks ago and I wasn't aware that Ford made them from plastic.
I had the dealership put a new one on... Ford's replacement.
Then I found this web-site - I could just shoot myself.
Oh well live and learn.
Maybe I will get another 50K out of the new plastic one.

As you can see - I'm anything but a mechanic ? it?s embarrassing to tell you the truth.
I do a great job at detailing cars and I follow the book as far as maintenance.
I?ve just never been that great at the working under the hood.

But I have learned quite a bit about this car from all the info available here.

Dude it takes a little longer than 5 minutes to change, 30 min sounds more to par, a local shop here in MD charges 50.00 to do the job plus parts, 35.00 for a good belt, I would go back to the dealer and tell him you wanted a belt change and not a screw!
