I was wondering if someone can tell me how much will roush springs lower a v-6 contour when they are first installed. And how much will they settle at after a while. And also they're are two different types of springs that came in the box i was wondering which ones go on the front and which ones on the back.

Not sure about the amount of drop, but the front springs are wound in a bigger diameter than the back. Not sure if that makes any sense. You will be able to tell when you take the stock springs off. They will have the same shape as the Roush ones, just a bit taller.

I dont think they will lower it much by you looking at it , If you use a measuring tape and measure youll see a tad of a drop , From what i have read and seen they really dont help worth a hoot.....Ask Rusell of Motorcity, there experts on our cars.

The bigger ones are for the fronts.

I have not installed mine yet, too cold out. Will be doing it as soon as it warms up a bit. I expect a 1 - 1.2 inch drop.

Contour_LXSport has had them on for a few months now.

Rear After Roush Install
Front After Roush Install
Side Shot After Roush Install

Picture quality is a little crappy, but you get the idea. As for drop... When parked next to another tour, it is very noticable!! I have the stock 15" rims on there. If you have stock 14's on yours the gap might be a little bigger, but not by much.

Also, right after install I could tell a difference as soon as I let the car down! Easly got 1/4" - 1/2" drop right off! The car has settled a little since then, but I have not been able to get out there and take any measurments since it has been rainning almost day!!!

I don't really have any decent before pictures that show the wheel gap before I installed. You can check my web page for some of the pictures that I do have.

P.S. I got the ST200 struts installed too! Also, remember this... These springs were not designed to "slam" your car to ground. These were designed for the SVT Cougar, so they were designed with the showroom/dealer in mind. To me, they are perfect. And for the money, of course, could not be beat!

Sorry about that... I had my info all screwed up... It was the Roush Cougar and not an SVT Cougar. And no, it would not have been sold in a dealer.

Thanks for that Motorcity.

I think the Roush package was a dealer option? Whatever.

I knew what you meant.

As for Citation10 and his criticality:

He thinks 225/50-16 looks "too tall."

He thinks 1.5" of drop is "nowhere near enough."

(C10: Don't take this the wrong way, dude, just trying to put your advice in context.)
