I have seen them for this price also. This is also WITHOUT a new Torque Converter, assuming that the original is still good. But the weakest links in our transmissions are the Valve Body and Torque Converter, so I would opt to REPLACE both with new. That is what brings the price of a rebuild up over $1200. When my CD4E went, I had a COMPLETE rebuild priced at $1200 with a 12/12k warranty from a local transmission rebuilder that was recommended by my dealership. The FORD REMAN CD4E came priced at $1700 with a 24/24k warranty, and all UPDATED parts (supposedly). These prices are, of course, without the R&R labor charges.
